Okay so you can’t get kids clothes or toys here. However, a Mrs. Fields cookie will tame any grumpy child. Alright maybe thats not true, but I sure love them. They have some of the best cookies around. You can get back to school cookie cakes, thank you gifts, birthday gifts, and gifts for teachers. They do a great job customizing their gift baskets and all of it is super cute and delicious.

This place had some kids toys, mainly stuffed toys. Their stuff was cute but they did not have a great selection of kids things. It was actually a strange mish mash of stuff. They sold trophies and various nick knacks so this place is not necessarily where you will find all your kid shopping needs. They have a sister shop in Beverly Hills. I’ll make sure to link it to this post.

Once you get pregnant, the medication that you are use to using without any thought is now OFF LIMITS… Here is a list of medications that are deemed safe during pregnancy. I got this list from the doctor’s office. By the way….
This list is NOT intended to replace the advice of your physician. You should seek the advice of your physician prior to taking any medication while you are pregnant or nursing. Some medical conditions require evaluation by your physician prior to being treated. So, DON’T forget to check with your physician before taking any of these!!!!!!!!
Tylenol for fever, aches, pains
Sudafed for Nasal congestion
Actifed for nasel congestion
Robitussin-DM for cough
Throat Lozenges for sore throat
Ocean nasal spray for nasal congestion
Mylanta for heartburn
Maalox for heartburn
Tums for heartburn
Rolaids for heartburn
Metamucil for constipation
Milk of Magnesia for constipation
colace for constipation
Preparation H for hemorrhoids
Anusol HD or plain for hemorrhoids
Kaopectate for diarrhea
Monistat for yeast infection
RID shampoo for lice
Perns/highlights after 12 weeks
Novacaine injections for dental work or minor surgery
Allergy shots for allergies
Mantoux TB test for TB screening test
It’s definitely not an all inclusive list. It is NOT intended to replace the advice of your physician. You should seek the advice of your physician prior to taking any medication while you are pregnant or nursing. Some medical conditions require evaluation by your physician prior to being treated. So, DON’T forget to check with your physician before taking any of these!!!!!!!!

I read it in numerous articles that taking 400 micrograms of Folic Acid before one gets pregnant is important in preventing defects of the brain and spinal cord. I guess it is also important to have them while you are pregnant to prevent preterm delivery, low birth weight and poor fetal growth.
I know this can be easily achieved by taking prenatal vitamins, but if you want to also try a more natural approach, here are some foods that will help you intake folic acid.
Basic food that we probably have on somewhat of a daily basis..
- Fortified breakfast cereal
- Orange juice
- Tomato juice
- Whole wheat bread
- Eggs
- Bananas
- Pasta
Here are some others that you might want to try on occasion:
- Broccoli
- Asparagus
- Spinach
- Avocado
- Turnip greens
- Papaya
- Blackeyed peas
- Cantaloupe

We called it the Brent Trek. It was kinda like Star Trek but less space. However, almost as many green women. Our goal was to find anything and everything related to shopping for your kid. We found some neat stuff. However, it goes well to mention that if you are looking for a one stop shop for all your kids needs it is not Brentwood. It is much more focused on coffee shops, restaurants and bars than shops catering to children. Here’s what we found… Enjoy.
