Toys R Us has Return and Exchange policy lets you return or exchange items within 90 days. (for Online purchases it’s 30 day return policy) This is extremely unreasonable for a new parent. I received bunch of diapers and baby bottle accessories such as replacement nipples at my baby shower, which I had about a month and a half before the due date. My little bean ignored the due date and was born two weeks after. By the time I knew how much my baby bean weighed I only had one month to figure out when my little one would grow out of the newborn size diaper.

By the time I was ready to exchange unopened newborn diapers and first stage bottle accessories for more appropriate sizes because my little one out grew them so fast, toys r us refused to even exchange the item for a bigger size for me. It created so much waste and now I am stuck with unopened unused baby items that I cannot use!

Toys r us should have better exchange policy for newborn items letting you at least exchange items for bigger size for unopened items.

If anyone is planning to create a registry do not create one at Toys R us, you might be stuck with boxes of unused baby items.

Family fare this month includes Beyond the Beanstalk (The Jack Tales), presented by New York’s Das Puppenspiel Puppet Theater (Orange County Performing Arts Center, May1-3), expands upon the classic fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk. Santa Monica Playhouse offers Mother’s Day Enchanted Lunchtime Theatre on May 5, including ensemble play development for youngsters, as well as a lunchtime meal.

The Tord Boontje shadow light is an amazing piece or art. I wish i had one… They are, err, were tremendously expensive, but super cool. I wish I had some pictures for scale. I’m going to venture off and make something similar. Wish me luck..!!!

We live in sunny California, and sometimes it gets really freakin hot here. Today is one of those days. I’ve seen a lot of advice on how to keep your baby cool in the summer. Most of the standards involve things like: don’t put the socks on, keep them in the shade, open the windows, put in thin covers, etc…

I’ve got a couple that I haven’t seen around as much.

Take her to the mall. That one rules. not only does it get your bean cool, it lets you go shopping. I love shopping.

Take her to coffee bean, okay I know its the same thing as taking her to the mall, but here its more specific, because here you get to have tea, or coffee.

Most importantly, don’t sit in at night when its cool outside and hot inside. Let your bean enjoy the cool night air. Watch out for bugs though.

As to keeping daddy cool there is only one answer: Beer!!!!!

I’ve fond my bed space shrinking. You see my kid is a roller. She rolls and squishes and rolls and squishes, and my wife separates me and my little bean. (She calls it the border- because she doesnt trust her little bean anywhere near a sleeping bear). So beanie rols and rolls and squishes and squishes which results in- “Move over, move over”- so I do. Then i wake up in the morning on a sliver of the bed. Bear no like!. But then I look over and Beanie and my wife are sleeping looking so cute and I figure its worth the soar back, aching back, oh my back. Your so lucky I love you guys.
