Children’s Workshop: The Art of Japanese Tea

March 5 (Saturday)

10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Kids can explore the stories and customs of Japan in this cooking workshop led by chef Maite Gomez-Réjon. Following a visit to the Japanese Garden, the class will prepare and enjoy a traditional Japanese meal, complete with tea. Ages 7–12. Fee includes one accompanying adult. Members: $55. Yoga for Kids

(Saturdays) 9:30–10:30 a.m.

Strike a pose like a garden statue and breathe deeply like a flower in this three-session class presented by Mini Yogis Yoga for Kids, with instructor Shana Hope Urban. It’s fun for all ages, and healthy exercise, too! Ages 5 and up. Fee includes one accompanying adult. (Please bring yoga mats.) Members: $50. Non-Members: $60. Registration: (626) 405-2128.

YogaBuddies Youth Yoga
Sundays, 9am – 10am
YogaBuddies, for ages 5-11, teaches strength poses and peaceful breathing techniques. Sunday classes coincide with Adult Yoga, allowing both parent and child to enjoy an early morning yoga experience. Preregister for a session or drop-in for $15 a class.

City of El Segundo is hosting a easter egg hunt event.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Recreation Park is on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. There will be plenty of eggs filled with candy and toys, as well as an abundant variety of wrapped candy available for the kids. This event is for toddlers to 11 years of age!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Bring the kids to meet the Easter Bunny and Friends at 9:30 am.

Egg Hunts for toddlers to age 4 years will begin promptly at 10:00 am on the Lawnbowling Green and Checkout Grass Areas.

Egg Hunts for age 5 to 11 years will begin promptly at 10:30 am on the Softball Field, Stevenson Field, and Picnic Areas.
