We called it the Brent Trek. It was kinda like Star Trek but less space. However, almost as many green women. Our goal was to find anything and everything related to shopping for your kid. We found some neat stuff. However, it goes well to mention that if you are looking for a one stop shop for all your kids needs it is not Brentwood. It is much more focused on coffee shops, restaurants and bars than shops catering to children. Here’s what we found… Enjoy.

This last weekend we decided to do some exploring for places to buy cool and useful stuff for our bean. Our destination was Montana Avenue in Santa Monica. The shopping area is about 10 blocks so its not too great of a walk but well worth doing it on foot. Lots of cute coffee houses and quite a good choice of kid related products. We started in the middle and walked one side then the other. I’ll go through what we found.

Color me mine: This is a great place to get some creativity out of your sprout and kid. They have a ton of pottery that kids can paint to the fullest extent of their imagination.

Peek … Aren’t you curious?: They have some really cool clothes. We browsed for a while….

Jenny Bec’s: They had beautiful children’s furniture.

First Cut: Bring your kids to get a haircut.

KidsBizz: Clothing store for babies and kids.

Moms the Word: what more can I say? They have clothes for mommies with bean.

Brenda Himmel: A place where you can buy thank you notes for all the presents you get.

Little Aura: They had the cutest dresses. Just like the ones I had when I was a kid.

Babystyle: This place had lots and lots of stuff. Baby clothes, Baby gear, Maternity clothes. Oh they had the cutest Halloween costumes. (Lady Bugs!)

Lucky Kid: Kid’s version of the Lucky Store.

Little House: Beautiful bedding for your nursery. I think I might go back to get some fabric there.

Janie and Jack: Kid’s Clothing Store. They have another one at the Grove.

Every Picture Tells a Story: Books and Paintings from Children’s books.

Miel: Another place to buy kid’s clothes. They had the cutest overcoat for girls.
