Our family live in a small house, so I have not been able to decorate a nursery for our baby bean yet. However, when the day comes when she gets a room of her own, I want to be ready. Till now, I was so busy just trying to get used to having her in mylife, I have not thought about other things but now I feel like I can spend some time surfing the web for fun. So, I have been obsessing over nursery decor for weeks now, and I have found artwork that I love on Petit Collage.
I love the collages in wood. They are a little pricey at $140, but I think they can add so much whimsy to a nursery. I think it can be a great baby shower gift too. Why didn’t anyone get me one of these?

I just gave birth to my beautiful baby bean, and one of the flower arrangements I received were so beautiful I have to share it on this blog. Flowers were from Butterfly Floral and event design.
When I need to get flowers I am definitely going to order from them.

My wife’s best friend is charged with planning her a baby shower. She’s been planning it for about a month now. Unfortuantely her planning means she’s been at the coffee shop flirting with boys and not doing anything about the baby shower. Needless to say, I’m now in charge of my wife’s baby shower. Which is cool, but I need to get informed to make this thing a success.
Invitations (timing): I’m doing my invitations 2 weeks in advance. I figure this is enough time to get the event on everyone’s calendar, and give them time to shop.
Invitations (how to) My friends are all fairly tech savvy. However, the technology you use to do invites on line is so basic and simple that anyone who has ever logged on to the internet should be able to use it. I’m using E-vite, they even have baby-shower themes. Some others that look promising but i have not tried them purpletrail.com and sendomatic.com. If you use either of those two services let me know how well they work. (maybe I’ll do a follow up post on them)
Baby shower theme and content. I’m told that you have to decorate and play games at the shower. I’m not good at decorating. I’m the guy who when you saw my place in college you said, wow, only a guys in college would live there. Yes that bad. I’m thinking that for the decorating I’m gonna need some help, and with that i take you to theshowerfoundry.com and beau-coup.com and many many others. I’m gonna steal some ideas from these guys.
I’ll follow up with more info as i find it
